ABA Behavioral Instructor

The ABA Instructor is responsible for directly working with a student in a 2:1 or 1:1 format using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis under the supervision of a licensed teacher and BCBA clinician. They may also work with small groups of more than 2 students if they are warranted.

Special Education Teacher

The classroom teacher is responsible for supervising students and caring for their physical and emotional health and safety, recognizing their worth, affirming their abilities, and striving to promote self-esteem in all relationships.

Teachers of children with autism enjoy the challenge they take with their students, and they have the opportunity to connect with them and make meaningful relationships. Teaching in general is one of the most rewarding careers to commit to. Teachers that specialize in working with autistic children require a different training from general teaching, but at the end of the day, their commitment to help these children is admirable and the idea that some students get better because of their work is a reward for each of them.
